Open Position:
Sales - Director of Retail
Randal Retail Group is a manufacturer of custom, permanent retail store fixtures and millwork. We work with national retail and restaurant chains who are adding and remodeling stores. We partner with the retailers’ construction and design departments, and offer a program that assists them from design, through millwork installation, to store opening; saving our clients time, money and headaches.
We are a family-owned and operated company with about 80 employees and have been in business for over 40 years. Most of our competitors cannot offer the full range of products and services we can, which includes shipping and a national installation & maintenance program, for true one-stop shopping. We become an extension of our clients’ departments and a trusted advisor, resulting in multi-year contracts and relationships. Our experience with managing store projects sets us apart and gives our clients peace of mind, knowing stores will be done on time and on budget.
Our office/factory is in the Chicago suburbs. We operate as a team/family and everyone gets involved with projects, to ensure we’re offering the best product and service as possible. You will set appointments with prospective customers all over the US, using cold-calling, networking, LinkedIn, referrals and tradeshows. Typical travel would be 3-4 nights per month, but it will vary during certain times of the year. This is a salary (competitive, based on experience), plus commission, position, with six-figure compensation very attainable. You will be given ongoing sales training and support. All expenses are company-paid, and there is a full benefit package.

The person we're looking for must:
- Have experience calling on national chains, selling to construction and design teams
- Have 5+ years calling at the VP/Director level
- Demonstrate success with selling a value-added program and not just lowest price
- Be comfortable cold-calling, asking tough questions and risking rejection
- Know how to thoroughly qualify/disqualify prospective customers
- Understand that not everybody is a fit for us as a customer
- Have built a book of business from zero, to $5million+ in annual sales
- Implement weekly prospecting behaviors, to build a robust pipeline
- Drive sales forward through identifying prospects’ budgets and decision making processes
- Show a history of setting and reaching/exceeding sales goals
- Follow a systematic process to close business - prior formal sales training is a plus

Estimator/Project Manager
Randal is seeking an individual to add to their fast-paced and growing team to support our rapidly growing customer base. The individual that fills this position will excel using their own organization and time-management skills. In this role, the individual will manage customer(s) new store locations through the quoting, production, delivery and installation process.
Core Responsibilities
- Interact with customers via phone and zoom
- Answer customer questions
- Solve issues in the field with installation or with deliveries
- Direct contact with customers regarding scheduling and changes of projects
- Estimate jobs from blue prints
- Write orders for specific jobs
- Manage inventory levels
- Organize incoming customer deposits for accounting
- Maintain and track jobs through the duration of the project for timeliness and accuracy
- Produce quality control sheets for product
- Assist and work side by side with Project Managers with day-to-day needs
